Passage 1
“Interdependent existence” is the timeless truth (“Tao”) of everything and is impossible to communicate through language. Unlike conventional wisdom which evolve with the times and environments.
“Causal interconnected change” is responsible for all material transformation and existence and are identified by assigned labels and are therefore impermanent.
Primordial Chaos1 (“Primordial”) is called the cosmic origin. Material Consciousness2 is called the mother of all things.
Thus, constantly living with a:
- primordial mindset, meaning possessing the ability to appreciate but unmoved by exciting and dazzling happenstances which cause uncontrollable distractions in the material world, the subtlety of the refined essence of Tao’s origin can be observed.
- distracted mind-set, hence uncontrollable material indulgence, the observation of myriad things is confined by the boundaries of their impermanent manifestation.
These two realms, emerging from the same source but are given different names, are both referred to as the metaphysical origin (“origin”).
This “origin” is the “origin of origins” where conceptions are conceived and transcend into physical reality for the creation of all things or conversely withers and fades away.
1 A state where there is only interacting entangled energies without a physical presence. Within the context here, it means a mindset free from material distractions, hence desires and expectations.
2 Human consciousness is preoccupied by the interactions of the six human sensory experiences or “six senses” (sight, sound, taste, smell, touch and thought) with the external environment.
Adages
Managing Life:
- Myriad things in the universe emerge and wither out in cyclic manners in synergy with changing conditions and timing and thus ever-changing phenomenon (impermanence).
- Distinguish true nature from transitional reality as they emerge from the same origin.
- Study and observe causal interdependent existence and interconnected causality objectively to differentiate good from bad.
Spiritual Cultivation:
- Tao empowers verification of the causality principle through daily living.
- Enlighten the innate spirit through understanding the heart and mind to explore humanity’s true nature.
- Understand that interactions of the six senses with the macrocosm cause the primordial and physical states to experience the impermanent phenomenon due to continuously changing conditions and timing which forms the “causal interconnected change”, hence continuous distractions.
- Observe and understand the fine details of all things to foster an altruistic mindset (expend positive energy to help others or “Te”) – true meaning of life.
